Tbilisi - Mestia - Ushguli - Koruldi - Becho Waterfall - Bagrat Cathedral - Uflistsikhe

Explore the legendary region of Svaneti, one of Georgia's most remote and stunning destinations. This 8-day tour takes you through historic towns, majestic mountains, ancient towers, and UNESCO World Heritage sites β€” perfect for nature lovers and cultural explorers alike.

πŸ“† Day 1: Arrival at Tbilisi – Transfer to Kutaisi via Mtskheta

Arrival at Tbilisi airport and transfer to Kutaisi. On the way, we will see Mtskheta city and visit the Svetitskhoveli Cathedral. Arrive at the hotel in Kutaisi. If time allows, we will walk around the city.

πŸ“† Day 2: Kutaisi – Enguri Dam – Mestia (Breakfast/Dinner)

Breakfast. Head to the mysterious Svaneti region, passing through the Enguri Dam. The Enguri Dam is the largest and most powerful power plant in the Caucasus, producing over 700 megawatts of electricity. The dam is 276 meters high, and the reservoir holds 1,110 cubic meters of water. Svaneti is famous for its original and authentic architecture and is dubbed β€œthe land of a thousand towers.” These towers played an important economic and defensive role in the region's history. Overnight at the hotel in Mestia.

πŸ“† Day 3: Mestia – Ushguli – Mount Shkhara

After breakfast at the hotel, drive to Ushguli village, the highest standing settlement in Europe (2,200 meters). The Ushguli architectural complex is a valuable cultural and historical monument included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. About 70 families (around 200 people) live in Ushguli. Spend time strolling through the old narrow streets. Visit the Lamaria Church complex, known for its impressive 10th-century wall frescoes. Hike toward Georgia's highest peak, Mount Shkhara (16 km round-trip), and see the beginning of the Enguri River. (5–6 hours). Return to Mestia for overnight.

The lakes, always filled with crystal-clear water, reflect the snow-capped peaks behind them β€” creating an unforgettable alpine landscape. Overnight in Mestia.
